Premier League football betting tips for Saturday 13 April 2019

Burnley v Cardiff

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 13 April 2019

Venue: Turf Moor, Burnley

An absolute must win game for Cardiff.  However, the impact of losing what looked to be a certain and deserved hard-earned 3 points late on against Chelsea seemed to show at City last week.

They looked defeated from the off.  Losing against Chelsea in the way that they did, with a clear offside equaliser will have put a major dent in the belief of Cardiff’s players.

Burnley have fought hard in the last couple of weeks to climb out of the bottom three.  They look full of confidence that they can rescue their season and avoid relegation.

We’re predicting Burnley to firmly hit the final nail in Cardiff’s coffin on Saturday.

Correct score prediction: 2-0 (Best odds: 17/2 with Sportingbet)

Acca selection: Burnley home win (Best odds: 10/11 with Boylesports)

Southampton v Wolves

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 13 April 2019

Venue: St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton

Losing out on a place in the FA Cup in extra time will certainly have taken its toll on the Wolves players.  Especially in the manner in which it happened.  Wolves lead the game for 79 minutes, and at 2-0 up with only 10 minutes to go, their minds would have been firmly on the final.

Wolves now have nothing to play for.  They sit 8th in the league, a 14 points off 6th placed United.  IT will take a huge effort from Wolves boos Nuno Espirito Santo to pick up his men after such a deflating defeat on Sunday.

Southampton on the hand, sit just one place off the relegation zone so will be fully focussed on picking up 3 points in front of their home crowd.

We’re expecting a comfortable win for Southampton, against a weary-eyed and despondent Wolves.

Correct score prediction: 2-0 (Best odds: 11/1 with Royal Panda)

Acca selection: Southampton home win (Best odds: 8/5 with Sportnation)

Man United v West Ham

Kick-off: 5:30pm (BST) Saturday 30 March 2019

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: BT Sport 1 / BT Sport 4K UHD

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

West Ham’s defence looked truly woeful at Chelsea on Monday night, especially in the first half.  They looked clueless as an electric Eden Hazard squirreled his way through the heart of their defence, time after time.

After a ninth away defeat this season, West Ham should be no match for a United side fighting to retain their Champions League place next season.

After a home defeat to Barcelona in midweek, Solskjær’s mind will now likely turn to focus on finishing in the top four.  United should be too strong for West Ham in front of their home crowd.

Correct score prediction: 1-0 (Best odds: 9/1 with Bwin)

Acca selection: Man United home win (Best odds: 4/9 with Betfred)

Premier League football betting tips for Sunday 14 April 2019

Liverpool v Chelsea

Kick-off: 4:30pm (BST) Sunday 14 April 2019

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: Sky Sports Premier League / Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Ultra HD

Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

We’re predicting this to be the upset of the weekend, and to have a huge impact on the Premier League title race.

With City playing just a couple of hours earlier on Sunday, an expected win for them against Palace will see them go top.  The pressure on Liverpool to keep up the pace with City will continue to mount as each game passes.

Can Salah handle the pressure?

Liverpool’s main man Mo Salah will be up against his former club who barely game him a chance after Chelsea signed him from Basel back in January 2014.  He made just 13 appearances in his first year under the management of Jose Mourinho, before he was shunned by ‘the special one’ and loaned out Fiorentina.

Salah returned to the Premier League two years later, but as a very different prospect after a successful two seasons with Roma, scoring 29 goals.

The big question hanging over Salah at the moment is regarding his confidence.  The shy and retiring character has again been prolific in front of goal for two-thirds of this season.  Yet leading up to his late winner at Southampton last week he had faced an 8 game goal drought.

Hazard on show

Eden Hazard has certainly found his mojo of late.  He was absolutely phenomenal against West Ham midweek, running the show from the very first minute.

Wether or not his recent performances have anything to do with the his links to a move this summer, remain to be seen.  But a Chelsea with an in-form Eden Hazard will be a daunting prospect for an under pressure Liverpool.

We feel like this weekend might just be Chelsea’s chance to have their say on the title race, much like they did back in April 2014 when they ended Liverpool’s hopes of winning their first Premier League title.
