Arsenal over 2.5 goals: William Hill 2/1

Neil Warnock’s side are yet to get on the score sheet in the Premier League this season.  They’re also yet to concede at home, so you can expect a low scoring game on Sunday when Arsenal come to Cardiff.

No space for local lad Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey grew up in just a few minutes up the road from Cardiff, in the small town of Caerphilly.  He signed for Cardiff city at the young age of 8 years old, and came through the academy to make his full professional debut in 2006 aged just 16, becoming Cardiff City’s youngest ever player.

The current Cardiff City boss is also an admirer of the local lad.  In his press conference this week, Neil Warnock said of Ramsey:

Every time I watch Wales, every time I watch Arsenal, I just think he does everything. He is a complete player

Warnock will certainly be setting his side up to cut out the time and space Ramsey is allowed on the ball on Sunday.  In doing so, Cardiff will inevitably leave more space for others.

Emery has set Arsenal’s wide players up to come narrow in attack, and feed the overlapping attacking full-backs.  The City defence will likely struggle to cover this width, so you can expect deliveries into the box from wide areas, where we expect the likes of Aubameyang to capitalise.

Can Aubameyang break his duck?

Arsenals record signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (56m) was brought to North London in January to make up the shortfall in goals at the Emirates.  Whilst making an impressive start to his career in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals in 13 games in the second half of last season, Aubameyang is yet to get off the mark this season.

Arsenal have had no trouble created chances in their first three games this season, but they are missing that clinical edge.  Aubameyang has missed a bag full of chances so far this season, but he’s put in good performances and it’s just a matter of time before he gets on the score sheet.

Don’t be surprised if Aubameyang is the first player to bag a premier league goal at the city stadium this Sunday.

Aubameyang to score 2 or more: William Hill 17/5
