The Best Free Bet Scout’s football predictions for the coming Premier League weekend fixtures, along with free betting tips and a weekly NAP from the English Football League.

Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola’s side remain unbeaten in the Premier League

Tottenham v Man City

Kick-off: 8:00pm (GMT) Monday 29 October 2018

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: Sky Sports Premier League / Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Ultra HD

Venue: Wembley Stadium

What a contest this is! We said last week how well Spurs are doing without getting any attention and that was backed up with a win at West Ham despite being second best for large parts.

Man City obviously have the quality in their ranks and won here comfortably last season.

It really is too close to call but we are going with a Spurs win which could be classed as a surprise result.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 2-1 (Get 12/1 odds on this result with Novibet)

Brighton v Wolves

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Venue: Falmer Stadium

Brighton have had back to back wins and good wins against teams they would be looking to beat, Wolves would also fall into that category.

Wolves have had a great start to life in the Premier league and will be hoping last week’s home defeat to Watford is a blip. A tough game to call but we’re going with an away win.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 0-1 (Get 6/1 odds on this result with Betway)

Fulham v Bournemouth

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Venue: Craven Cottage

Bournemouth looked surprisingly out of ideas against Southampton last week and Fulham after taking the lead at Cardiff will see their loss as a big one that needs a bounce back effect.

I see Bournemouth winning this though with their attacking options being too much for Fulham’s shaky defence

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 1-3 (Get 16/1 odds on this result with Betfred)

Liverpool v Cardiff

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Venue: Anfield

Cardiff will feel an awful lot better about life after their first win of the season last weekend. In truth though, they will also know that their survival will not depend on a result at Anfield.

We expect Firmino and Mane to return for Liverpool who should win comfortably.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 3-0 (Get 23/4 odds on this result with SportingBet)

Southampton v Newcastle

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Venue: St Mary’s Stadium

This is a massive game for both teams. We said last week that the Mike Ashley saga really is deflecting away from the poor job Rafa Benitez is doing and we firmly stand by that.

The atmosphere at St James’ Park has become toxic, and as a result Newcastle have looked far more comfortable on their travels.

There will be less pressure on Newcastle on Saturday and more pressure on the Saints at home, who themselves are struggling again this season.

We can see a narrow away win here, enough to keep Benitez in his job.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 0-1 (Get 33/4 odds on this result with Bwin)

Watford v Huddersfield

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Venue: Vicarage Road

We really fancy a surprise here. Watford are having a good season and Huddersfield are 19th and remain without a win.

However, Huddersfield fought hard against Liverpool and created good chances, so that, combined with some possible complacency for the home side, could see a minor shock here.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 1-2 (Get 14/1 odds on this result with Novibet)

Leicester v West Ham

Kick-off: 5:30pm (BST) Saturday 27 October 2018

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: BT Sport 1 / BT Sport 4K UHD

Venue: King Power Stadium

Two teams who were unlucky in defeat last weekend against strong opposition.

Claude Puel seems to be doing a good job at Leicester at face value, but also seems to be under constant pressure.  Leicester have had a very turbulent season so far, which makes a game like this hard to predict.

However, based on their more consistent performances, we are going with the Hammers to just pip this one.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 1-2 (Get 10/1 odds on this result with Betway)

Crystal Palace v Arsenal

Kick-off: 1:30pm (GMT) Sunday 28 October 2018

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: Sky Sports Premier League / Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Ultra HD

Venue: Selhurst Park

Last week we said that Palace are having a poor season, which seems to be going under the radar.

Arsenal are winning game after game yet are still not even fancied for a top four finish.

We expect their impressive 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions to come to an end here.  Palace desperately need to start getting points at home.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 1-1 (Get 7/1 odds on this result with Sportingbet)

Burnley v Chelsea

Kick-off: 1:30pm (GMT) Sunday 28 October 2018

Venue: Turf Moor

Burnley looked to have turned a corner before their trip to Man City last week.

Chelsea looked second best against Man Utd, especially in the second half.  However, the fact they still remain unbeaten and the manner in which they got a draw, will be a huge confidence boost for them.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 0-2 (Get 5/1 odds on this result with Bwin)

Man United v Everton

Kick-off: 4:00pm (GMT) Sunday 28 October 2018

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: Sky Sports Premier League / Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Ultra HD

Venue: Old Trafford

This is an interesting one to call as Everton are on a really decent run at the moment without playing especially well, whereas Man United appear to be slowly turning a corner.

United’s performance at Chelsea last weekend was surprising in many ways.  They looked like such a better side than we’ve generally seen so far this season.  However, mid-week showed they’ve still got a long way to go to compete at the top.  They should have enough quality to win this one though.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 2-1 (Get 7/1 odds on this result with Novibet)

The weekend’s football NAP

Barnsley to beat Bristol Rovers

Get 1/2 odds on this result with Sportingbet

In a tight League One, Barnsley look as good as most whereas Rovers are really struggling for both form and goals.

The weekend’s next best

Portsmouth to beat Accrington Stanley

Get 7/5 odds on this result with Bwin

Staying in League One, we’re going with the leaders to win at Accrington who themselves are having a great season. But Portsmouth have enough about them for the three points.

The ‘cheeky treble’

  • Chelsea to beat Burnley (Premier League)
  • Sunderland to beat Southend (Sky Bet League One)
  • Notts County to beat Swindon (Sky Bet League Two)

If I were you…

We said in our premier league predictions that we fancied both Newcastle and Huddersfield to cause upsets this weekend despite both being without a victory. Why not try a double on the handicap and go with Newcastle +1 goal & Huddersfield +1 goal for a bit of value… Feeling brave? Add Bournemouth + 1 goal for a treble.
